May 1, 2007 - Nev Price was in Brisbane for a brief period and for the first time in many years, we caught up with him at the Grand Central Hotel on Saturday 23rd April. Fantastic night, many stories to tell and just as many drinks. I think we were all a bit dusty next morning!

Living in Canada, for the last 30 years or so, has prevented Nev from attending any of our reunions, so it was great to catch up with a long-lost member. He is up-to-speed on all our reunions as he follows our website religiously and was quoting stuff from the site that I had forgotten was on there.

Dianne Armstrong (nee Schoenwald) left before the photo was taken, but another old mate from those days, Jerry Telesnitsky, battled on. Jerry went to school with Nev and I but stayed on for another year before starting an apprenticeship with MIM. He and his family moved to Brisbane about 6 months into his apprenticship.

May 3, 2005 - An expression of interest is being called for the 40 Year Reunion, which is proposed to be held in Mount Isa at Rodeo time in 2006.

See the 2006 section for details.

March 12, 2005 - The Mount Isa branch of the Super 66er's went on a tour of the new Outback at Isa Tourist Park. As well as static displays on the surface of mining equipment and Mount Isa history, the Hard Times Mine is an underground mine built to fill the gap when MIM stopped their underground tours.

We booked a tour for the Saturday afternoon with the optional dinner served in the Crib Room of Hard Times Mine. See photos here.
