2008 Mini Reunion

This is a brief note to let you know the outcome of the Mini-Reunion of the Super 66'ers that was held over the weekend of November 8 & 9, 2008.

A great time was had by all but it was extremely hot, which is no surprise for Townsville!

A meeting was held over a few coldies and an executive decision was reached about the next reunion. The 45 year Reunion is to be held at the Sunshine Coast and will be organised by the resident Sunny Coaster, DOK.

Bruce Mullan suggested the Sunny Coast, so DOK got lumbered with organising - Bruce will assist, and no doubt the website will be updated to advise all concerned.

It's over 2 years away, so plenty of time etc.

DOK will get brochures / prices arranged and quoted after Xmas. He thought Twin Waters Resort could be OK - he has a few work functions there - food is tops, accommodation is OK, but not cheap, and they have Bus Shuttle to Airport, connections to Eumundi Markets, Montville, Crikey Zoo etc. Mooloolaba may be better, close to beach, shops for the women, Bottle0' for Gibbo / Coles / Banks / ATM's / nice restaruants, the Plaza, Buderim Tavern, Underwater World, Hogs Breath, Surf Clubs, Pubs / TAB / Racecourse and 2 good Golf courses.
